I have always wanted a Pole Pig but I have not found any place that has them for cheap (including ebay) I do not live near a junkyard and am hoping you have some ideas.
PS I have a 20 Amp 240 volt breaker what ballast should I use for that

I somwhat doubt youll find one, a good idea (im thinking of doing it myself) buy some large ferrite blocks, build them into a large core, wind your own and build a driver with some IGBT bricks.
From what ive seen, polepigs can be very hard to find, atleast, in the USA its much more possible then in the UK (the company also disposes of all their transformers inhouse)

Or, you could wind your own 50hz transformer, like bjtaudio did. His transformer is a beast.
the big problem with that is finding the core, i dont know how it is in america, but Iron Cores are hard to find, and likely very expencive.
I follow the ferrite route due to weight and efficiencey, but also because if winding your own, it always means more turns per volt, saving on cost, Ferrite is also easier to find:
Im saving up for 16 of those to build a large transformer.
