.....and my lathe was originally designed for munitiuns manufacture.......

(I once had two police officers come into my workshop when I ran my own engineering business. They had a look round, and seemed quite impressed at some of the jobs underway....then one asked if there was anything I didn't work on. I replied "Yes, guns"...at which point the other one became quite agitated, qasking me why I'd mentioned guns, to which I replied that his colleague had asked me if there was anything I didn't work on.....his colleague virtually had to drag him out.)

There was a discussion on physorg about using 3D printers to make high temperature superconductors by printing the layered materials in flat sheets in order to boost the useable fraction.
These are in powdered form, the approach I suggested suspended them in a solvent such as acetone and used an ultrasonic stirrer to keep the powders suspended and avoid clumping.

Next they're gonna arrest all the kids in FL because the state looks like a gun...

I'm surprised I didn't get tackled when I brought my model Portal Device to school on "Character Day." I tried to avoid calling it by it's more lax name, but everyone just kept saying Portal Gun. I'm surprised I didn't get sent to the office. If it has a trigger, if it has "gun" in the name... people will freak out. That day, people actually thought it will shoot things... I've gotten the question "Is it real?" -_-
