Just curious what people spend on there hobby's, weather electronics or other stuff, and what range you would fall into money/week wise.

Personal I spend about 40/week on electronics and I make about 300/week

1. *their, *hobbies. Grammar Nazi-ing: 0 dollars.
2. Art... well, apart from the 2000 dollar program of Adobe CS6 Pro, 0 dollars to draw.
3. Electronics... I get all my parts from electronics class, for a payment of only 35 dollars at the beginning of the year.

Just enough that I don't starve. I'm sure I could have bought a new car with all the electrical and photography nonsense I've bought.

Too much. Even with all of the components I have salvaged over the years there is always that one part that you don't have and end up shelling out cash for.

@ASHPoD You paid for an adobe product? Ouch.

As much as I spend on my addiction to, as my wife calls them, 'widgets', I figure it's still way less than I might need to spend on an addiction to nicotine or alcohol.

I started out as a hobbyist but electronic design and high voltage research is now my day job.

I recently sold a Tesla coil for £1k but I had already spent most of it on parts for the next one. smile
