It may be a bit late to me mentioning this as *news*, but there is a teslathon in wisconsin this coming saturday (september 9th). Its in Baraboo WI, near Wisconsin Dells. Thon opens (for spectators) at noon, if you have a coil to set up, be there at 11:30. Thon goes on until whenever we decide to quit (usually by midnight). Feel free to contact me if you have questions (such as, the exact address).
I will be there with my large DRSSTC running up to 8kW with 11-12' sparks. DC Cox (the owner of the HV lab where the thon takes place) should have some very *massive* coils .
So, who else will be there? Hope to see some other 4hv members.

Good times indeed. Its too bad my coil bit the dust from a wild spark hitting the power supply cable. On the bright side, we now know at least one more failure mode for DRSSTCs . Hope to see ya'll next year.
