I now have access to 3 phase 415v 100A service,

I cant seem to work out, but how much power can i draw in delta config to a bridge rectifier?

Thanks,
Thomas W

You can draw 415V * 100A * sqrt(3) VA = 71.2 kVA. The real power depends on power factor, for a three phase rectifier with a filter capacitor it might be around 0.6-0.8, without the filter capacitor it is better.

Oooh, i see, never used or played with 3 phase before, my aunt has 2 units for her company, but she uses only 1 unit's power source so i can likely use the other one.... cant wait til i go to make my large DRSSTC.... has anyone even made a 60Kw DRSSTC?.... i think il be building a load of smaller ones first.... i don't think even CM600's would cut that much power...

If I remember right, Steve Ward's Gigantor used 4 full bridges of CM600s, 12 devices total. It ended up running about 33kVA.

Found a youtube video of it.... holy crap thats impressive

Also, it says it gets up to 25ft? how come wiki says the record DRSSTC is only
CgAcAJB

And is there any design information on it, like closeup pics of the circuits?
