It's hard to believe nobody foresaw that this might happen if you build a giant concave reflector exposed to sunshine:
Given that sunlight exposure is supposed to be bad for the skin and eyes, I can only guess that the damage is accelerated if you're exposed to light eight times as intense! It's crazy that someone ever got permission to build this.

This is just round the corner from where I work. There are no parking signs there now. The owner of the car was paid compensation by the construction company - it was a write-off...
