I'm still alive here, and im not moving out of the hobby. It's true I've been getting rid of a lot of stuff and selling off a lot of things. This is because I got sick of having a shit load of components and parts laying ALL OVER wasting storage space in my room. I've been getting rid of the small stuff and keeping the big items. Literally took my containers of parts i ripped off old boards, and trashed everything. Still keeping my heavy transformers and all of that.

I got college starting next week so I'm again down to no cash and no time for projects. I ripped apart my DRSSTC after doing a show 4 months ago running it at a low power and horrible camera view, found here: Link2 I power limited it to 800A on a 120V generator infront of an audience of at least 60 people. Vs my typical run of 1100A. This coil was a 7ft monster, It's way too big for 120V. So I ended up ripping it apart and saving the secondary/primary for a future project where i now have access to 480V 3/phase which NEEDS a breaker because it curently is just a 300A fuse / phase with no limitation at all. Raw building feed, direct off the 3 pigs. I definantly want a breaker in between or I'm gona have serious fuck if something goes wrong.

So. What did i do with the parts? Well, That was a 50khz coil. So I build a smaller, 4.5 x 24" 34awg coil, that reosnance at 60khz with a topload. That same system will now pump sparks through a smaller, coil, more proper for 120V system. As the 7ft coil was a huge waste for 120V 15A, way too big for that tiny power.

Only thing is i dont have the time/money to start the build. I do personally know a guy who is a great friend of mine now, who owns a laser engraver + laser cutter for acrylic up to 1" thick. Far thicker than needed but that gives me the ability to make a nice 1/4" thick acrylic base and enjoy playing with that. Seeing i dumped over 20 bucks of epoxy resin glaze on it, I plan to make the entire thing shine...

So. Yeah. Just incase anyone wondered where I went, now you know. I took a break from the hobby, I was dumping way too much money into coiling. I branched out to quadcopters for awhile, got well over $2000 into my FPV quadcopter that is going under revision 3 of remaking. Link2
* 900KV Tiger Motors ( Ran me >$200 )
* 400mw 1.28ghz video/audio transmitter with IBCrazy Clover Leaf
* Solid Carbon Fiber Propellers ( Not cheap >_> )
* G10 constructed frame with very thick G10 arms

But that project, has also been set aside for a bit. Everything works, just gotta rebuild the ground station. As many of you know, I already mention months back on the forums I am a furry. So, for the past 6 months I've been taking a break from all my hobbies and just spenidng less, relaxing, and for once in my life having an actual social life outside of my room via furmeets / conventions, and a new local maker space by the name of GRMakers.

So yeah, That's whats new. ^^

I'm just as inactive as you are, Vex, hehe...

I don't really see you on Skype much, either.
