"Web forums" ... Um, WTF.

Since when does 4HV have anything on it remotely dangerous? Its already routinely monitored by admins
and anything blatantly illegal gets removed.

Some serious money must be changing hands to just ignore the wishes of the public by blocking forums
by default, if this is allowed to continue Britains Internet will resemble China post Great Firewall.

Discuss.

haha, good one.
Just a thought but why would forums be on the list? Nearly all are harmless with a reasonable signal to noise ratio, only a very few have objectionable content.

Sounds like the censorship of websites at my school. Although apparently, when I was trying to get a larger image of horseshoes, the school's firewall thought I was trying to access porn. At least hope that the UK firewall will examine their content better before blocking something. I was able to access 4HV for a year before it got blocked at my school, so maybe there's a chance 4HV will trickle through the system.

Because they can't control the content.

Someone 'might' post something objectionable.

I tried turning on 'parental controls' on my laptop recently, and only set it to block extreme violence and porn, due to the fact that a ten year old occasionally uses it, and I ended up having to type a password not just to access 4HV, but every subsequent 'page' I opened, on 4HV, until I turned it off again.

Looks like the admin of any blocked domain can cause others to be blocked too Link2

Here is this broken system in action.
