Thats gonna need surgery.
Poor lady is likely to need multiple skin grafts to fix that.
Has anyone else here had a battery rapidly combust like this?

Ouch. Closest I've personally come to that was when some NiMH AA cells were short circuited by loose change in the same pocket.
I'm disappointed that the writer used the verb "to explode". To get very hot, to burn, to melt plastic parts -- OK. A known hazard of LiPo batteries. But even jets of flame or burning electrolyte do not constitute an explosion.
