Hi all.
Just found something interesting, while testing those dosimeters the problem arose which also showed up on my Bull Electrical geiger counter, random noise on the counts when near either an induction cooker or a SSTC or SGTC.
It even "blipped" when the fridge door opened.
At least for low level interference, I've discovered that 4.7Mohms consisting of two 10Mohm in parallel in series with a 1000pF 170V (underrated, but it works) polystyrene takes out most if not all of the interference.
This also seems to stabilise noisy tubes somewhat, the "junk" counter is now working fine again. Saves replacing chips just to fix a noise problem,
Pics to follow.. -A
