Hi everyone,
When I was 18 I somehow managed to find and buy two 20kV 52uF capacitors (dangerous toys indeed for an 18 year old).
Now I'm 26, living in California, and these things have been sitting in my parents' basement in Massachusetts for six years. Needless to say we need to sell them. I used them for awhile to shrink coins but otherwise they've just sat around. They've been kept cool and dry. As I said, they're located in suburban Massachusetts and we would obviously prefer a local pick-up kind of deal.

Those went fast! What happened to your link, "coin shrinking website"?
I still have a capacitor with identical specs, procured through ebay in late 2005. Might well be from the same lot. Did yours each come with orange spray paint and one HV-insulated terminal on top?
I made a quick & dirty can crusher in those days, and originally registered at 4hv.org to discuss it. But have not yet gotten around to it. This picture is from January, 2006, before any of my hair was gray. -Rich
