A thread to post worthy/interesting/old/rare/etc measuring instruments. Please post pictures and details where available.

I'll start with the Victoreen CDV-700, a geiger counter dosimeter manufactured in the sixties, intended as radiation survey meter/sensitive low-range instrument that can be used to measure gamma radiation and detect beta radiation.

I have a Mercury signal generator (full of nice humming tubes) that goes from 10hz up to 200khz, it will make a wonky sin wave or a wonky square wave that tends towards triangle at the higher end.

A Stark AM modulator that goes from 120khz all the way to 500mhz for the carrier (also has tubes). It works but only partly, the output is only modulated unilaterally (looks like a landscape photo of hills).

A Tektronix 453 that works fantastically (tubes again).

A Canadian Armed Services "Radiacmeter Gamma Survey" that measures from 0 to 500 "r/hr" the "r" standing for "roentgen." To my knowledge it still works but according to my google searching if I ever see the needle hit 1 I am already in trouble.

A mystery multimeter, that measures volts, amps and ohms with terrible accuracy, I've thought about modifying it to compensate for the worn out movement but never got around to it. It has a nice big mirror in it and some very crunchy leads.

I'm sure if I dug through my dad's old stuff, I'd find something. I just have a multimeter that I had since I was 10 (no longer works; I keep it for sentimental reasons), another meter that's 3 years old, and a scope that's at least 6 years old, bought when I was 9 because my dad "knew that I'd eventually ask for one" somehow o.o
