went for first light on my new drsstc. got this weird popping output like firecrackers. I double checked my gate waveforms to make sure that there wasnt some sort of problem with the drive signal but it was still fine looking. has anyone experienced something like this?
350VDC at the bridge 75uS PW Full bridge of 68kHz secondary
My first guess is a tuning error. Possibly too low. It was getting late so I'll have to mess with the primary more tomorrow.

Everything is shielded. Driver is in aluminum box, grounded. Chicken wire around the whole base structure also grounded.
Edit: I suppose I could find a large computer case or something similar to put the whole bridge in. But its rather bulky. Guess it couldn't hurt to try it. Thanks

Hows this for shielding?
Made a custom all aluminum box for everything. With aluminum mesh around the whole base now instead of chicken wire.
I'm grateful for the suggestion, it made a huge difference, the sparks breaks out like it is supposed to. But not totally solved. I get popping at about 400VDC still (the popping sparks are pretty big too). When monitoring the current I see a huge spike every time it "pops" which trips the OCD each time. Still think this is a shielding issue?
