I am thinking about a 5 kw tesla coil. What popped into my mind was a full bridge of igbts IXGX120N60B Which i have lots of them handy. With 26 awg winding on a 6 " wide 12 inch long winding. The coil would run in cw. The input would be fullwave bridge rectified and smoothed. I can also use kynar wire. (Wire wrapping) Though the most common kynar wire i can find is 0.25 mm but i will try to find 0.4 mm So can anyone suggest me a simple driver to do the job. I run on 220 volts. And kynar vs enamel wire. Which is better
