Does any one know any better ways to debug the ADC port on a microcontroler. I need to see the values (0 to 255)...

What might work, but is a pain to do...

1 - Serial I/O
2 - LCD
3 - EEPROM

Is there a better way?

That's only 8bit, if your pic has enough IO, soldering 8leds and resistors is a quick way to debug.

I just came up with another idea... i can measure voltages for upper bound and lower bound and then...

lowerbound = (voltage1 / 5) * 255
upperbound = (voltage2 / 5) * 255

lowerbound -= lopwerbound
upperbound -= lowerbound

Might work. I use a handy tool called PIC Simulator IDE, by Vladimir Soso.
If you haven't got a copy pay the £22 or whatever it is now, it really does what it says on the tin.
Shame it doesen't work with most PIC programmers directly using the sound card input as a probe.. but hey.
