Hi All !
A 100 Ah (one hundred amperhour) battery is the charge of the battery, or charge capability. It means that it could discharge one amper for 100 hours or 0.5A during 200 hours, or 10 ampers during 10 hours.
The measuring unit for charge is the coulomb, C.
One coulomb is one amper during one second.
So a 100 amperhour baterry has 100 x 3600 = 360000 ampersecond or 360000 coulombs or 360000 C. ( remember one hour has3600 seconds)
Why not simplify the apparatus ?
Connect a domestic light dimmer in series with a 2mF capacitor and in series with the ignition coil primary, Them apply 120 0r 240V from outlet.
It works fine continuoslly without stress the coil.
Cheers
