Hi all.
Does anybody know something about people or bands, who have studio records with drsstc or entire album, except Bjork with her song Thunderbolt?

I haven't heard of any, but I seriously think there needs to be a legit remake of Thunderstruck and Ride the Lightning with TCs.

Theres LOTS of songs that need to be orchestrated by a bunch of tesla coils. Like vivaldi four seasons, some bach, Beethoven, iron maiden, black sabbath, ac/dc etc.. all those good old rock and roll band. Also there's a lot of heavy metal songs that would be kickass on tesla coils because of the insane guitar solos

I've been thinking for a while how awesome it would be to have a set of drsstc's along with a huge qcw for bass/drums. Unfortunately I havn't been able to do anything ee or hv for the last few months because of renovation of the basement(lab)... I really would like to see some qcw music though.

QCW idea is cool. I imagine several coils of different sizes and design. Large DR's for low monotone, small DR's for mid range both polyphonic and mono, and sstc's for high frequency and full bandwidth audio, etc... what has arcattack been up to

Link2 I worked on this with Robbie Thomson. It's an experimental music performance for audio modulated Tesla coil and noise-making kinetic sculptures. smile The piece is about 40 minutes long, the video is a promo showing the highlights.

I connected my DRSSTC to Robbie's computer running Ableton, and left him playing with it for a few weeks to see what weird noises he could get out of it. I was amazed by the results and came away with some cool ideas for new forms of audio modulation. We got a high-quality recording of one of the performances, and I think it is a pretty good piece of music in its own right, in an ear-bleeding industrial way. smile

We're hoping to do it again at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
