I randomly bought this earlier today, from my local army surplus store.
It's a 65kV, up to 225uA power supply, intended for electrostatic spraying / powder coating.
As soon as I got it back I took it apart and cleaned it up, which included respraying the whole thing whilst it was in bits. I didn't get any photos before, but here it is after.
I haven't dared plug it in yet, because I haven't found anything to make a suitable output plug. The output connector requires something with about a 6" prong to make contact with a spring at the very end of a nylon tube. I've bought a load of HV ignition cable in preparation.
I think it's a vibrator based thing, I might trace it out when I have time
This is the top part with the long HV connector that goes into the transformer (+multiplier? rectifier?) drum
Transformer drum - this weighs a lot and is most probably full of oil. I tried removing the lid to have a look in, but the seal wasn't giving up so I decided to put it back together instead of breaking a good seal.
