I am thinking about establishing a relationship with a china manufacturer to purchase the absorbent in quantity for N2 generators. I would be able to get this much cheaper than buying it in the USA. Would anyone be interested in getting this material to build their own PSA?

I believe he is going to get the materal used in the PSA ( pressure swing adsorption ) systems .
So under high pressure it absorbs the nitogen and then low pressure let it go .

If the materal is used to abrosb nitrogen , could then a system be made with this to concentare oxygen insted , say 70 - 80 % Oxygen ?

Two basic systems for nitrogen generators is a membrane or a zeolite-like material. Membranes are very expensive. They are the size of human hairs, if not smaller, and allow smaller, faster molecules to pass out of them; larger, slower molecules travel all the way through. This is similar to helium leaking out through a balloon.

Another way is using sieve material that has micro-pores. One applies pressurized air to a canister and the smaller molecules go into the pores, allowing the larger N2 molecules to go through. Venting the pressurized canister down to atmospheric pressure allows the sequestered O2 to escape, allowing one to start the cycle again.

I am trying to get the material for the absorber. I have found it so far in the USA as cheap as $5.60/lb. I am hoping to do much better. The amount of material needed depends on the desired purity, flow rate and pressure of the tank.
