I recently picked a Toshiba 1370 black and white copier for nothing and i'm wondering if anyone could tell me if its safe to run photo paper and such through it. I'm unable to find any info on what types of paper i can use and at the moment i am just using plain old copy paper. I tried out a PCB using normal paper and it works ok but it does leave alot of fibers on the board which is a PITA to scrub off. Anyway i'm looking for a better option that isn't going to destroy the drums and such or melt as i plan to use the copier for other documents as well. Any tips or opinions would be great. Thanks guys!
"xerox colotech super gloss" I have about 200 pieces of this kind of paper, relatively cheap compared to proper photo paper, and it's designed to work in laser printers. In fact it does not work in inkjets, the ink is not absorbed and it will smudge. I tried once the toner transfer with this kind of paper because I was curious and it worked great (normally I use cnc isolation routing or UV mask foils).

I use general glossy laser paper from fedex. It's the consistancy of printer paper, but a bit glossy. I've tried a large selection of papers, and in my experience you want to stay away from thick plasticy photo inkjet papers. They are a pain to get off of the board, whereas the thin stuff can be rubbed off in seconds after soaking for a minute.
Thin papers work particularly well with a laminator. If using an iron, it can be a bit more tricky with thin paper but still possible.
