The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
Naturally, my exploration of this hobby has created a lot of "byproduct" in the form of flasks and tubes that are superfluous to my needs. At last count, I have about twenty pretty and fully functional plasma flasks and tubes. I keep a couple examples of my work, but I cannot just let these things pile up. So naturally, they are offered for sale. I should be clear that the stuff being disposed of this way is NOT "garbage" in the sense of being second-rate to what I keep--it's simply excess decent functional pieces. I do not use premium-quality American borosilicate, since that would be a waste of money for my experimental purposes. Instead, I use Bomex ("chinex", or Chinese borosilicate labware) as the flask blanks, and I use glass tubing stock from a second-hand local Craigslist source. My skills in glassblowing are not professional-grade, but I do follow reasonable standards in maintaining wall thicknesses, in closing tubulations carefully, and in annealing my work. Flasks require kiln annealing and I use a standard programmed cycle. Tubes can typically be flame annealed with a Meker burner using a special cradle I have. Some of the flasks still have their enameled frit mark. This can sometimes be removed using dilute HF ("Whink") and a Scotch-Brite sponge, but other times it is highly resistant.
EPay is not a streamlined or effective way to dispose of lots of these, but it is a way to determine value and see if the whole selling-this-s**t is a worthwhile thing to do. So if you have particular requests or want to know what I have in the way of (x), please send a message, or call me at 505-412-3277.

Nice things. Very similar to what I've been doing some time ago. Aren't you afraid to damage the turbo pump with halogens? From my experience iodine can eat up the vacuum system with a great speed.

Links are fixed.
I worry about the iodine's corrosiveness, but the amount in use is tiny. I only fill to its vapor pressure of about ~0.3 torr. I would be much more worried about using bromine or chlorine because of the possibility for high throughput of these high-vapor-pressure halogens. So far, I detect no problems with the drag pump I am using. I have taken it off to inspect the rotor once, but that was after having perchloroethylene in a discharge and creating a lot of "gunk." It's a very robust pump and should have no problem with a little iodine.

Just a note, you'll probably be fine, but in the rules it states that you have to have at least 10 posts to buy/sell things here. It's just so that people don't turn up only to sell things to us. That's obviously not your intention, but just letting you know.
Anyways. Could I get a quote on a 250mL air(nitrogen) mix? Sorry to say that I can't afford to buy one at the moment, but I find those green ones really interesting, and I may have to get one in the future! Nice work, I read your post on them and find it really awesome.

Don't worry about the 10 post rule. The reason we have it is to discourage people who join the forum only to sell things but this is obviously not the case here.
