if you are going to use 4 irfp250 it would be better to just use IRFP260

Here are the pictures of the cores i have.. the smaller one is broken. but i have a one same size etc. that is still 1 piece.. as you see.. one is larger.. but thinner. one is smaller but thicker.. which one is the best for about running at 600 watt+ for a hour or so
with 26 awg wire used. i heard it keeps everything cooler.. and that 26 awg wire has better insulation

so which core to use

The one that is thinner but larger will have more room to wind your secondary but handle less power

The one that is thicker will have less room but can handle more power

I was sure about it :L..
Ya know the special kind of mud used to make statues.. what happens if i get the smallest iron powder particles that i can find. in large amounts and mix that with mud. shape the mud. and put it in the machine that makes it solid. give it a coat of paint and voila.. i made a 3 cm thick core with 15 cm winding window
'd that idea work?

as said in an earlier post it has to be very dense and the core isnt powered iron its ferrite

how much power are you looking at, those cores should be fine

Personally, I'd pick the one with the larger winding window, as it will be easier to work with. I think you could manage 600W with either core, depending on the frequency and finished coils; not 100% certain though, since we don't have all the data for each core.
