I 'm remaking the zvs driver. and i thought that another look on the rectification system might give better effects on the arc at the end so anyway

My old rectification setup was a fullwave bridge rectifier rated at 35 amps at 750 volts
and as much 3000 uf capacitors in series as i can. I did not even measure the capacitance but i know it worked. the caps were rated at 50 volts

The transformer is a 36 volts at 5.5 amps running at 50 Herts So i just want the exact capacitance for the rectification to complete.

Also please share your experience on which mosfets you find in old crt tv when you are salvaging a flyback. just for fun :D

I think most of the transistors I've salvaged from CRT TV's when removing flybacks have been BJT's, powered by GDT's. I don't recall finding any power MOSFET's or IGBT's.

What about the filter capacitor?

As big as you can afford, or enough to give acceptable ripple, you'll never get rid of it all. Just 'scope it and see.

The regulation of the transformer is needed, but if you havent got it, then the DC resistance of
the secondary, the VoltAmp rating, and the DC resistance of the load can spit out a numerical
value for ripple using a common approximation that works within the tollerence of your capacitors.
