p.s. Maxwell: Who knows how sharp Laurie's bullet was? Would it be politically incorrect to bring up sewing and other needle crafts?

Cloth work, really. Or towel. Even for a big energies. It just has to hang untied in front of the projectile. When the thing stopped, slug falls right under. To hasten the process, one can wrap a cloth over a baseball glove and catch the projectile with that.
