Hi all,

I am one of very few South African coilers and am visiting family in Lawrenceville, Georgia in a weeks time. My wife and I will be landing in New York on Friday the 18th Jan and will be in Lawrenceville on Monday the 21st. Doing a road trip down to Port Canaveral a week later and then flying back to South Africa on the 9th Feb.

If there are any coilers close to any of the areas I will be in who wouldn't mind a visit from a kindred spirit ... PLEASE do let me know! wink

I would specifically be interested in seeing any large SGTC's VTTC's and/or DRSSTC's with specific interest in coils running in CW or QCW mode.

OH ... and if anyone has any surplus lying around that you would like to donate (at lowest possible cost PLEASE) ..... to a good cause... please also get in touch. *GRIN*

I would specifically be interested in any suitable tank caps, IGBT's, pc boards, and/or any other control electronics.

Very best regards and HAPPY COILING
Grant

Hi Grant,

Pity you're not heading north - I am originally from Pietermaritzburg, now reside in New Hampshire. Spent a lot of my childhood building coils in SA, but picked it up again in the states. Now building DRSSTCs.

Suggest you check out Ebay for components - you can have them shipped to your relatives in Georgia. Americans are among the most generous people on the planet - but giving out IGBTs?? ...everyone has philanthropic limits smile

Enjoy your visit.

Are you driving down I-95 through North Carolina on your way out of NY?

Hi hvguy,

Nope, unfortunately not. We are flying down to Atlanta.
