The company I used to work for shipped the PECVD equipment to manufacture these screens to LG two and a half years ago. The equipment we'd produced for Samsung and Panasonic had to go into storage as their factories hadn't been built yet.
Conundrum posted, in the ideas thread, I think, that he'd like to see a screen that you could fold up and put in your pocket. Well, you won't have to wait much longer.....

Lol... Is it magnetic based? Also having each section with its own Li-Ion battery on the back means you could call n mates and have your very own IMAX experience on the cheap by sticking all the screens together.

I'm sure the colors would look very sharp... Was only a month ago I went from a standard LCD phone to a OLED screen phone. Full brightness, compared to a lot of androids and even the latest iPhone, their screen's blacks are gray, where mine is black. Amazing :) would love to have a oled TV if it wasn't for the cost :(

Magnetic as in the edges are held to other panels using magnetic strips for power etc.
No. They just fold. (Well not quite, the ones shown in Vegas just roll up, but they are working on folding ones, you'll be able to unfold your phone into a tablet or lap-top sized screen...or maybe even a TV sized screen.....Like a sheet of paper.)

Explain please? I know OLED phones have dimming... Haven't heard of this causing a life problem...
well from the experts in industry ive heard speak, they all say that theres a 4 or 5 year period to half brightness. depending on quality of manufacture and usage.
