Hi
I am working on a PSU using the L200 to vary output voltage and limit the current. I want to be able to measure Output Current.
A series resistor at the output would do it, but I am wondering if the Current Limiting resistor R3 between pins 5 and 2 on the L200 could be of some use (see picture 7).
Does anyone knows how this resistor is used by the L200 to limit the current? Datasheet states voltage between pins 5 and 2 is 0,45 V typ. Would the IC trigger current limiting when voltage at the R3 reaches this threshold, being V2-3 linear related to Output Current? Or at any given time/output the drop at R3 will always be 0,45 V?
