Hello. I have unfinished my CBCT scanner, so after exam i want to try rebuild HV part. I have oil cooled 120KV tube, and i need few kw of power to get high energy x-ray. Idea is to use two 30KV transformers, and voltage doubler like with tesla coil, two diode and two capacitors. I have 1nF 80Kv High quality caps, and 120Kv BYV26E avalanche diodes (100 in series ) so i should get +-60KV from my multiplier to respect of ground for safety, and also i have to make simple 6V transformer with same amount of insulation for filament heating. Idea shown in picture: Blue is windings Red is Ferrite core Green is plexy glass, made from 1mm and 2mm sheets, and all void space would be willed with epoxy.
I really need bigger U shape , but i have 6mm of plexy glass for 30Kv, and 4mm for 3.3kV in between windings, where epoxy should be, again, no problem.And quite low parasitic capacitance, witch is good
And also, can any one tell any good about 3C80 material, can it hold 1Kw per transformer ? (150Vac, 10T, 40-100Khz) (i really don't know how to deal with power and other calculations )
