Hi all, i have a question about strange phenomenom that i dont understand, well;
- in normal drsstc - feedback is got from current transformer that is fed by one wire of primary coil.
- but i have best performance - and this is strange - by putting ground point of secondary to input of feedback circuit (74HC14...) - see attachment (point between 2 diodes is connected in real, but there was no option of putting it there)
how is that possible, can somebod explain? I also tried classic method, but it is unstable, streamers are suddenly changing length, with my connection it is perfectly stable. I cannot add any scope images, because i don't have any scope.
I don't use primary voltage higher that 60V, so maybe with higher voltage it could damage something... I am talking about small, appx. 1MHz coil
Primary feedback only gives best results when the primary is properly tuned to the secondary. Any tuning discrepancy in the primary tank when using primary feedback will drive the secondary in to nonresonsnce. By taking feedback from the LV end of the secondary you are running the coil more like a SSTC where you are forcefully driving the primary at the secondary's resonant frequency even if the primary tank is out of tune.
