Make sure you keep the outside MOTs of your 4-stack isolated from ground as their frame needs to be floating above ground, otherwise, you will create a short on the windings and you will not have the proper output.

Thanks for the tip :). I ment 3 stack though, is it properly connected? I'm gonna fire it up in a few minutes. The MOT near the bottom of the "pic" is there as a ballast. At 1000W I should be getting 6kV@166mA?

The MOT on the right should be connected vice-versa (HV output to output, HV return to the other MOT's HV return) and with opposite phasing of the output.

Thanks Dr.DC, it works really well. I even noticed that at 6kV fine dusts begin to "dance" when electrodes are close. After some arcing though, the ballast is quite hot.
