Hi, I've recently being trying to build a PICAXE controlled robot. I've built the chassis and atached wheels, motors etc. It's worked when I've tested it (with motor controler, etc) and now I want to expand it further. I've brought an ultrasonic range sensor, and the IC, etc needed for communication with a PDA through infra-red.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to something interesting/usefull I could do with this? Was wondering if I brought a PDA to go with it I could control it over a wireless network? Also, what would be the things I could do with a PDA controlling it?
Thanks, OScoder
note - I'll be posting picture of what I've done so far on the project board, as soon as I get them.

I don't know exactly what type of robot this is, so these are just general suggestions. I'm not quite sure if this would be what you are looking for, but maybe you could try to use the ultrasonic sensors to have it try to map out a maze. It would be a very interesting challenge. Doesn't really involve your PDA though. Maybe a small game would be fun like trying to knock a ball through a goal. I'd suggest an arm(I've been thinking about trying to make one), but that is probably too heavy for any size if you actually wanted something with a lot of control. However, I have seen some very small actuators/servos, so it might be possible. Maybe put a servo on it with a laser on it? Might be fun to try to point it at things from your PDA.
