Before going to the cost & lead time of ordering the core material to wind a custom HV inductor, I want to see if I can use an existing inductor that I will submerge in oil to see if that will suppress/resolve an arcing problem. Question is: What type oil is recommended to submerge HV transformers or coils in?

I have several threads on this matter, to save you the bore, you can use non-detergent motor oil, canola, olive or electrical device oil like diala or univolt.
i use canola on the large devices , and olive (yellow, virgin) on devices where the oils is part of the circuit, like my HV probe.
