Hi

After making a sstc and getting good results i thought id have a go at making a DRSSTC using the same secondary as my sstc ( Frez is around 200 Khz )

So after making a small single 555 interupter and half bridge i finnay got arcs :D

Specs are

Secondary - 4" Wide x 5" High , Fres of around 200 Khz
Driver is a PLL 4046 with primary feedback , only a 1:50 CT at the moment .
Half Bridge of 35A 1.2Kv IGBT's
Half Bridge Caps 1uF 1000v
15 Amp U Fast reverse recovery diodes
480v TVS Diodes Bi directional across C-E on IGBTs
18 Volt Zener Diodes on gates
10 Ohm Gate Resistors
1:1.5 GDT 10 T : 15 T
Primary Capacitor is poloyprop 117.5 nF
Primary Turns is 4

Supply 230v AC recitified .

I should put the filter caps at the bridge but ended up not doing it . I could get more out id say but tuning on a drsstc for me is still abit confusing and as my first DRSSTC im happy with the results , and no heating on IGBTs on lower breaks either , i do have a Oscope so i will scope primary current soon to see what it is . I have scoped the interrupter to make sure its working aswell

Spark lengh at lowest BPS i can get on my interrupter are 9.5 Inches .

Any pointers or tips would be great :)
