Hello everyone.

I was hoping since this is a HV forum that one or some of you would have some camera flash caps and maybe the entire charger PCB too.

I am probably not looking for many. Just enough to pulse 40J or so through my SSY-1.

I am PayPal verified and live in the US. I have a decent reputation here in case you are worried. Link2

Please let me know what you have :)

Thanks!
Jeff H

In my experience motor run caps rated at 450V AC (not DC) are nice for SSY-1
Any electronics store should have some.

Some camera shops will let you have the old shells of disposable cameras for free, I walked out of one shop with an entire bag full of cameras. They all have the cap, charger and a battery. Be aware that as caps go, photoflash ones aren't brilliant (high ESR, low life expectancy etc . . ) but if they're free you can't really complain smile
Good luck!

Thats really good to know! All though im rather fond of the look of the camera flash caps. This is going to be a sort of steam punk looking build :)

I'll go mining :)

THANKS!

Yeah, I've read that before. Though I'm not sure that I know of any camera shops around here.

Low life expectancy is fine. As you said they are free. In my case i dont mind paying for them though.

Ive looked in many stores this week only to find the lowest price $4.50 per camera O.O. So I thought maybe some of you guys may have some laying around.

Thank's for the info so far everyone! I cant wait to get started on making this laser fire!

P.s. I do have the original pfn and trigger. I bought this at a laser meet this year as a set. However I don't really want to use the pfn and trigger.
