Hi everyone I am in the process of creating a website where my aim is to teach hobbyists how to create circuit boards. It is at www.build-electronic-circuits.com
As it is hard to evaluate my own work, I would love it if any of you could spare a few minutes and give me some feedback. What information are you missing? Do you see any obvious mistakes on my part? What would you love to read about (within the context of creating circuit boards)?

Nice site. Very good write-ups.
Just a comment on the PCB design.
Regarding 90 degree traces, unless you are doing RF circuits, then it really isn't a big deal, even structurally.
Also, the example you show using 90 degree traces, really isn't showing 90 degree traces. Its showing just point-to-point wiring from via to via so its just straight lines actually.
You might want to add some information on planes.
1. Use of a ground plane 2. Why split ground planes are BAD. Its actually better to properly segrate your components than split planes between power / digital etc... 3. If you are using split planes, be sure to use bridges between planes when you have signals traveling from one circuit to another (from plane to plane)
The planes discussion is good, especially discussions on split planes or traces shared on a ground plane that can break-up the plane as double-sided boards are very common for amateur use and use of ground planes very common.
Some mistakes i see when people use ground planes.
1. If splitting ground planes, they will have a signal from one circuit (on isolated ground plane) to another circuit (on the other isolated ground plane). This is bad as you have no idea where the return current will flow. If doing this, be sure to create a small bridge between ground planes and have the top layer trace on top of the bridge. This ensures return current for that trace is controlled and directly underneath the top trace.
2. When using ground plane on rear, i see lots of people adding a long trace within that ground plane which basically breaks up the ground plane. This is okay in some places, but one needs to pay attention to what currents are flowing on top layer. You don't want the return current path on bottom side to be broken up by a long trace on the bottom side.
