I'm looking at the C-D p=10932592942C10P1K-F capacitors found here. I was wondering if anyone has had any trouble using these, or if these are just as good as their 2000v cousins?

I haven't tried them but they look like the same material as their cousins. 33% less capacitance 50% lower voltage but 57% lower price on that web site.
Might run out of space on a larger coil.
On a side note, are you Kahunakid from Ebay? If so I purchased a nice oscilloscope from you a while back.

EasternVoltageResearch: yeah, I realized a bit after posting that the cost would actually be more than buying the bigger ones.
I think I'm just going to use the .15uf 2000v. I'd like to get the .1uf versions, but nobody has enough of them in stock at a price I'm willing to pay.
I plan on wiring them two rows, 9 each for .0333...uf. I'm running a 9000v, 60ma transformer, and javatc suggested with my design that I have at least .017-.018uf. Does .033uf sound like too much?
