I built another Mini ZVS Induction Heater, this time with much better results. It is powered by a 16V 500VA transformer, and the voltage sags to 8.4V while running, and pulls 29A.. I think it will work alot better with a bigger workcoil, and better heatsinks (right now they are solid blocks of aluminum) Hope you enjoy :D

That is a handy little induction heater :)

Be aware that with voltage going under 10VDC you are nearing MOSFET latchup which will make them cross conduct and explode.

Yeah I hadn't actually thought about that until it stopped working, so I will replace the FETs, and see if adding a large value capacitor will help keep the voltage up. If it doesn't then I will find a battery I guess :)

It's more or less this, Tony and Sig. Just instead of hooking up a flyback transformer, you use a coil of wire instead.
