Darwin says "let him die." Of course the death, along with the guilt felt by the two drivers is very unfortunate, sometimes stupid things just happen and end badly. I'm sure he will be remembered for greater things than a gillie suit. My sympathies are extended to the victim and those involved.

Darwin's incorrectly translated quote has survived over a century.
The actual observation he made was the survival of the "most adaptable". i.e. a lunatic playing on a freeway fails to adapt to cars like numerous other forms of road kill.
Its a shame those poor kids have to face the harsher realities of life's fragility at that age.
