Hi! I "aquired" a 4 cylendener continental engine from an airplane. Does anyone know anything about how much it's actually worth? I did a bit of research, I think alot, but I don't know, I was offered 100$ right off the bat, I think I will haggle 300$

Ouch!! Stole is such a strong word! To be onest I got it from an airplane that has has been abandoned for 20years. No body cares if any one goes there, in fact every in this little town of probably 50 people go there, I drain clean oil out of the engine, so I'm sure it is ok, if it's not alittle pcb oil will get it running just like a song!

If you were a true redneck, this thread wouldn't exist as you would already be in the garage fitting the airplane engine to a ride-on mower. I suspect you are actually a city slicker who doesn't understand the difference between PCB transformer oil and WD40.

Just try pcb sometime, use it with an eye dropper and a stuck bolt, and wait a few hours! Besides I haven't had time to run it, I'm at a lake fishing all week!
