What typical GDT primary and CT half bridge out waveform should I be looking to obtain to prevent damage to IGBTs? 50% duty cycle ? What is normal GDT frequency for a SLR topology? Yes, I'm destroying IGBTs so I must have something wrong and after searching , did not find a clear answer to these questions. Any advice appreciated.

GDT primary should be a 50% duty cycle AC square wave. Primary current should look like this: The current waveform should be extremely clean; any ringing or high-frequency components, and something is wrong. Run a frequency high enough to not saturate your core and draw reasonably low reactive current, but low enough so that the switching delays of the IGBT's don't prevent good ZCS.
