HI! I was at a swap meet today and i bought a crap ton of NOS tubes in the boxes, I am planning on selling them on ebay. does anyone know what the cheapest way to ship them (US)

Ship them from the US or from international to the US? If international shipment, probably FEDEX, although it may not be cheapest, but definiately one of the safer routes.

I've had lots of tubes shipped via airmail from the Ukraine to New Zealand. Not the fastest, definitely the cheapest. I tend to avoid US sellers on Ebay because of the ridiculous shipping charges. Tube safety is all in the packing - mine were in good cardboard boxes stuffed with newspaper - not one single breakage!

if you want to be over safe, one idea i had is to put it in a platic bag and build a little holder to support it in the box with thick single core copper or aluminium wire then fill the rest of the box in with that insulation foam from the spray cans hehe.

Use the box-in-a-box concept.
First box is packed as you would normally for fragile stuff. Then you put that box into a second box with about 5 to 8 cm spacing filled with newspaper or packing styrofoam peanuts. Make sure the inner box is not loose but rather cramped by the filling.
Had great sucess with this technique over the years. In one case the outer box had almost been destoyed but the inside was still ok.
