Trying to find an easy way to turn a sine wave into a square wave, and this is what I have so far using an op-amp and an inverter and a couple extra parts:

1342943575 3831 FT0 Square Wave Generator

Is there any way I could make a nicer looking square wave? V1 is a 1kHz sine wave at 0.3Vpp if it's needed.

I am VERY much a noob at the signal processing side of EE, but doesn't a simple Schmitt Trigger turn a sine wave in to a square wave?

Just a clipping or comparator circuit will do it.

Yep, a Schmitt trigger.

Or an Opamp with positive feedback (which adds hysterirsis just as a Schmitt trigger)

Is it a true -v to +v sine? Because a schmitt triggered gate typically doesn't have it's levels set to be symetrical across 0v. That might not matter to you however.

Well it would be an audio source coming from my iPod, so I am not 100% sure, however in the real circuit the output would swing from +5V to 0V, not the ridiculous 330Vpp I get with LTspice x.x
