 Most of the schematics that are posted show no gate resistor however using the IRFP260 I would recommend one if you want to keep it running cool. I used the IRFP260 Fets because I had a bunch of them. Originally I was going to use two fets and a GDT to get more power but then I decided this single fet one works good enough.
