Sorry I overlooked the voltage, for some reason I was thinking 12V. Well, you would probably have a hard time finding such a PSU... These UC384x current limited PSUs are easy to build, but of course it requires some basic SMPS design knowledge. You could modify a lower voltage one, it would mean rewinding of the transformer (and inductor for forward converter PSUs), but not really hard to do.

It looks like it can be turned up to 25V from 12V. Using -25 to +25v you can have 50v out. I don't have many mosfets, but enough pots, capacitors and resistors. Maybe I could find a way to turn it up to 35V.
Uzzor seems to have done his share of hacking ;) I'm still learning some more about this. My plans is to hack one or more PSU's for attaining needed voltage.

Well, I'm tempted to try a boost converter - the current limiting will lie in the PSU, and the boost converter will need to be shut down once the voltage is reached.
12VDC in, ~76VDC out.
3-4hour charge time will probably be on the long side - but it'll get it done.
