I created an interrupter program for DRSSTC's that I have open sourced in case anyone finds it useful!
It produces a nice variable pulse width square wave, that is toggled on and off (i.e. burst mode)
Square wave frequency is from ~30-333Hz Pulse width is ~0-180µs
Burst width 0-300ms Burst delay 1ms to 1000ms
Before anyone says it, yes, it does the same as 3 555 timers! But, this does it all on a singe chip, with just a crystal,a 5v regulator,decoupling caps, and 4 pots.
This is open source, and released under the GPL. You are totally free to experiment with the code at your leisure!
If you are creative at coding, and are prepared to calculate all the values of ICR1, you can modify the code to play a tune on your coils.
