I like the video! Have you measured how much thrust it produces?

Yeah long pants would add to the safety, that was my father in the video assisting me. I didn't feel unsafe though standing around it, I have used all good quality hose fittings and stainless steel braided hose, so I have no concerns of them busting or coming loose. I do however have fire extinguishers at hand just encase.

I haven't measured thrust just yet, aiming to do that once I get the replacement turbo installed and finish commissioning.

I installed the replacement Turbocharger this weekend and got the afterburner running consistently. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so I didn't get much testing done. I kept the RPM low again as was still making sure its running right, monitoring pressures, temps etc , but was quite excited with the results so far and thought I would share the pictures.

While the excessive flame burning those few meters out the back is really wasted and won't add to the thrust, it was awesome to look at, you could really feel the radiant heat off it, and for me that is more exciting than aiming for thrust alone.

The fuel pump is rated for 80GPH, normally this goes through the fuel regulator and anything not being used bypasses back to tank, when I turn the afterburner on all of this fuel not being used by the jet itself runs into the afterburner so that's why I get such a long trail of flame, needless to say it runs out of fuel quite quickly.
