 		Also consider that a marx generator needs a few kv of input to get it to work.

 		A kind of Marx generator with mechanical switches, the Planté "rheostatic machine" charges a bank of capacitors in parallel and discharges them in series. This is a simple implementation:

 		Could also use MOSFETS, Thyristors, IGBT's, Tubes for efficient switching of low(ish) voltages.
