What does a $1,600,000,000 corporation do when it can't figure out how to lower RDSon?

Hows about 1700V, 7200A 14.7kW dissipation.

I'm bringin' an IGBT to a Mosfet fight.

In that case:

4500V @ 2400A 19kW dissipation

A bit less switching capability by mine is a single device.
Edit: that 7200 is pulsed; the Westcode is 4800A pulsed

Wow, that is quite some voltage for an IGBT, Adrenaline.

I was thinking I'd have to use a valve (vacuum tube) for switching 4-5kV for my magnetron project.

Yeah, there's bigger ones out there. but that fuji has the highest rated current in my collection.

Those puck igbts are nice for making a multi-level inverter. can be stacked easily and water cooled.

well Jrz126 that beets my cm1000's, but realy the fet that me and Inducktion and gren offered have avalanche caristics and a high pulse rating. would this be a advantage for the kiind of tesla punishment we give our FET's. cirtainly they would be a great choice for that 460KHz QCW that I would like to build.
