I would make a joke, but its a little inappropriate. But that is a little too creepy. As the Dr. Farnsworth meme goes... I don't want to live in *the United States* anymore... They have taken it too far. Next thing they know it, there will be mandatory rfid implants in everyone so that one can identify the other. Maybe they really do look through your webcam even though it is off. Well sometimes I take my laptop to the bathroom with me... er.... O_O It's a very scary concept...

Time to read "1984" and Asimov's "Foundation" trilogy again folk.
For those that cant read the film "Brazil" should do.
Most societies that have died have done so in a similar manner: paranoia after utter domination, religion or both.

this is a multi-billion dollar industry and i plan to get in on it. this technology right now is where computers were in the early 70's.

Basically it's a technology being used for an immoral purpose by an utterly corrupt government bent on world rule at any cost.

Apparently they're expecting significant trouble from the restive masses at home, at some point, and they're anticipating some difficulty meeting recruitment goals (i.e., finding enough sociopaths willing to brutalize their neighbors), thus the "need" for drones as a force multiplier.

No doubt drones also have some important psychological effects, e.g., intimidating people and creating a sense of helplessness.

If you want to "get in on it", please work on ways to defeat drones.

If that worked, they would have done it in Pakistan, where the US Air Force has been using drones armed with Hellfire missiles for quite some time. They regularly do drone strikes on "insurgents" or anyone else with an inappropriate beard.

i was thinking of doing both, talking to my Philosphy professor, who is a flaming liberal-progressive. He too worries about the unrestricted use of drones over our own homes and property.

i wonder what happens when one crashes through a home or car windshield, and someone is killed, the government has immunity from civil lawsuits.
