do you think that they will ever add regenerative breaking to get the milage up. I was at a county fair once and some guy had converted his 1966 mustang into a electric car he said it could get 40 miles on a charge. regenerative breaking combined with gas is the key to makeing the electric car practical.

Every EV and hybrid has regen braking, and it does get the mileage up. I heard the brake pads on a Prius can outlive the rest of the car smile

It'd be sweet if they'd put a switch in there to generate 60hz 3phase. portable generator too.

Li-Ions are known to run down/deplete faster when cold, has to do with the chemistry.
I think the viscosity of the electrolyte changes at the molecular level and impedes the flow of ions.
